Alright, I've got a good one for you guys, pertaining to the TyD ladder. It seems that when I type a name into the search box and click search, it does not search the name I typed into the search box. Instead, it takes the last two characters of the name and changes them to 'Pr' or '%Pr' in some cases. It does not matter what these last two characters are; they can even be spaces. For example, if I type Mael into the search box and click search, it will search for MaPr. Below I have a few screenshots showing you exactly what the problem is.

This is what I type into the search box:

And this is what it searches for:
http://img37.picoodle.com/img/img37/3/10...aa5131.jpg

In this image it switched Mael|BIS| with Mael|BI%Pr.

Another example:

This is the search that is carried out:
http://img34.picoodle.com/img/img34/3/10...db9469.jpg

ABCDEFG is changed to ABCDEPr

One more:

TyD is changed to TPr:

If anyone can tell me what I might be doing wrong or if it is simply a problem with the ladder it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Icon_smile
That's cuz of the XSS fail I noticed a few months ago (check it in AC forums): Clown has to filter every special char who is set as input... I guess that the same filter has some glitches.
I doubt it. It works fine for me... all examples you give return normal results.

Are you using some non-standard character set or something?

I don't believe I am using a non-standard character set, though I'm not even sure what that means XD. It may be because I am using Firefox, and I am always having issues with Firefox. When I input information and send it over the internet, about half of the time it goes through, but I will come to a page similar to a 404 error but it is a 400 error. This error says that my browser sent a bad request, one that the server could not understand. But if I try it again, it usually works fine. So this whole 'Pr' '%Pr' thing may have to do with my browser I guess. Can anyone else with Firefox confirm my suspicions? I am using the latest version of Firefox, Firefox 3.0.1 or something like that.
I use firefox all the time, and I can't reproduce your problem...

Hmmm... strange. I can't come up with any plausible explanation. Perhaps I'll try it on Safari and see if it works on that browser. Peaks my interest, it does...
I also use the latest version of Firefox, I never had this issue...

I'm talking about the worst thing could have happened to you: some rootkits alter the datas you send throught the web... Or you have to remember your firewall not to lose his cool ?
I really don't know (in a first time I thought like Clown that it was a special chars set issue, but server know how to translate them as well... )
Oh well, I don't know what the problem is. But it's not all that big a deal so don't worry about it guys. Unless you really feel the need to figure it out; then by all means go ahead. And be sure to get back to me. I would like to know what it is but I don't feel the need to search out the answer. Icon_smile
