TEAR YOU DOWN! RULES

1) Activity
TyD! is a friendly, experienced clan with great players. We are very well known throughout the AssaultCube community. To keep such a great reputation, we need to stay active.
Although we expect you to stay active in-game, it is hard to gauge that, so, we expect you to post on the forum AT LEAST once a week. If you can't post on the forum (technical problems, on vacation, etc), then please TELL US so we know what's happening please.
If you do not post in the forum at all and we notice this we will try and get in touch with you to remind you to post. If you don't post on the forum enough, you will be put in the "on hiatus"[1] group. Being in the "on hiatus" group means that you will not be able to vote on new members or watch new members getting voted upon. This is mostly to make it fair for new members who would not get your vote anyway, since you aren't there to vote yes or no anyway.
If you are "on hiatus" for too long without contacting us to let us know what is happening, you will be assumed to have abandoned us and be removed from the clan. If this happens, but you have suddenly returned to AssaultCube/TyD!, then please get in contact with us, and we will probably slot you back into the clan

2) New members
TyD! only recruits well known members of the AssaultCube community, we do not allow new people from the community to be put up for recruitment. We look for exceptional players AND people to become members in TyD!, we're looking for those people that we feel just HAVE to be here! Chances are, that these type of people have been in the community a long time and we know them well.Other things we look for in a possible member are: ACTIVITY, FRIENDLINESS/ATTITUDE and SKILL.
Please note, that TyD is INVITATION ONLY. Please don't beg us to try you. If you are asked to try out for TyD!, please note that membership is expected to be exclusive[2].
HOW TO BE CONSIDERED FOR TRIAL
A member of TyD! will ask the rest of the clan if they believe you will be a good candidate for trial. If s/he convinces two other members that you should be on trial, someone will ask you if you'd like to be put up for trial. To make yourself known to other TyD! members, a good idea might be to register on our forum and say 'Hi'.
WHAT HAPPENS AND WHAT TO DO WHEN ON TRIAL
If a member invites you and you would like to try out for TyD!, you will need to make an account on our forum, so we can talk to you and get to know you. At this point of time, you are not officially a member, so DO NOT WEAR THE CLAN TAGS.
When you are on trial, you will be given one week to try and prove yourself to the clan, during this time, you'd be best to make yourself known to as many members as you can, since it's the impression left on the members that gets you in or out of the clan. Ways to do this, would include signing up and posting on the forum (this is neccesary), talking on the Internet Relay Chat (irc://irc.gamesurge.net/tearyoudown) or with the Microsoft Messenger (MSN), playing in AC against members, etc.
A poll is opened the same day that you are put up for trial, this poll stays open for ONE WHOLE WEEK. The poll will have 3 options:
a) Yes please, let them into TyD!.
b) No thanks.
c) I'm not sure yet. Give them another week of trial please.
Over the next week or two, TyD! will be assessing you, seeing if we would like you to become a member. TyD! have our own private forums and in them we will be discussing your actions and skills. People will also vote on you with one of those 3 options when they decide they have made their decision. At the end of the week the poll will be counted up.
HOW THE POLL WORKS
Votes for (A) are "YES" votes.
Votes for (B) AND (C ) are added together as "NO" votes.
Votes for (A) and (C ) are added together as votes to be given another week for try-out if you fail to get in TyD!.
If you get 66% or more of the total votes as (A), you will become a member of TyD!.
If you fail to get 66% or more of the votes as (A), you will not become a member of TyD!.
If you fail to get into TyD!, you will need to get 66% of the (A) AND (C ) votes added together to get another weeks chance.
HOWEVER! For the poll to be valid, 50% or more of the clan (not including those members who are on hiatus) must have voted in that poll.[/size]
3) Respect others
This rule is basic, common sense.
Be respectful, not abusive.
Don't discriminate.
Don't act maliciously. This includes spamming, hacking, cheating, etc.
Just play nice and have fun
If you become abusive, we can remove and ban you from the clan instantly if it is deemed necessary.
4) Tags
Members are to wear the tags {TyD} at all times so people notice you
You can position the tags on your name, in any position you like, so long as it is there.
If you see someone else using the TyD! tags - Ban them. There should be NO TOLERANCE on this.

- On hiatus means that you are "temporarily away".
- Exclusive means that you are not in any other clans that play AssaultCube.
